So, you've found my blog. :) In case you're not one of my family, friends, coworkers, classmates, etc and just happened to stumble across this I'd better introduce myself. If you are one of the above mentioned you can skip this next part. :)
My name is Kayla I currently am attending the University of Utah and anticipate graduating with a degree in Middle East Studies in December. I grew up in central California and will forever call that home. The reason I'm writing this blog is because I'm about to go on an adventure! I'm going to Meknès, Morocco to study Arabic for six weeks at Moulay Ismail University. I'm really excited about this opportunity. The only traveling I've done internationally I don't remember, I was too young, my family went on a camping trip to Mexico. So I'm counting this as my first "real" international travel.
At this point I'm about one month away from leaving for Morocco. I'm flying standby which makes me a little nervous just because I have no control over when I'll actually arrive anywhere, but I got a KILLER deal thanks to a friend of my dad (thanks Doug!!) so I am not complaining one bit! Feel free to check back as frequently as you'd like, I don't anticipate that I'll be posting too much though before I leave.
