Voulbilis

Last week we went on an excursion to Voulbilis and Fes. Voulbilis is an ancient Roman city from when the Roman Empire included North Africa. It was clearly a large and important city only a small portion of which has been excavated.

Many of the large homes had mosaic tile floors like this.

This was a sign for a shop, pictures were used since most of the population was illiterate.

The poultry shop

The butcher

More mosaic.

My friend Arlene that's Alexis in the green.

That is Eduardo.

These were part of the Roman baths.

After Voulibils we were back on the bus in the way to Fes.
